Services Specialist legal service providing legal advice and information in the areas of: Consumer credit (such as home loans, credit cards, car loans, personal loans, guarantees, consumer leases, payday loans) Banking, including complaints to AFCA (Australian Financial Complaints Authority) Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) issues Home or goods repossessions Debt recovery and collection Credit Files Credit repair, debt management firms, buy now pay later Some issues under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) CCLSWA provides minor assistance and some legal representation to borrowers and consumers (not lenders, suppliers or manufacturers) in the areas listed above. CCLSWA also provides the following services: Community legal education provided to the community and community workers through publications, webinars and seminars Financial literacy education to high school students Legal education on consumer credit law and ACL to university students Public interest and law reform advocacy Advice Line Hours Advice Line: 9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday All advice is provided through the telephone advice line.
