Get Involved Pro bono support Pro bono support Are you interested in providing pro bono support? Are you a lawyer and want to make a contribution to a community legal centre? Community Legal WA has a partnership arrangement with Law Access, who coordinate applications for legal assistance from individuals and not-for-profit organisations, seeking pro-bono support from commercial lawyers. To express your interest, please complete the Law Access enquiry form. What kind of pro bono support do community legal centres need? Many community legal centres in Western Australia are fortunate to receive pro bono support from local law firms. Typically, this support is provided as advice by specialist lawyers. Whilst this support is invaluable, there are many ways law firms and local businesses can assist community legal centres with non-traditional pro bono support. Support for centres in the following areas is also appreciated: Policy advocacy and law reform support, Community Legal Education, Governance and Management, Publications (e.g. design & printing), Marketing, Fundraising or sponsorship, Research and submission writing; and provide document production support in litigation matters. For more information about how your law firm or business can make a positive contribution to the community legal sector, see our publication Creating shared value.
