Great Southern Community Legal Services provide legal and advocacy services to the Great Southern community.  Our services are directed to those who would not otherwise be able to access legal and advocacy services, either because they are ineligible for legal aid or because they cannot afford the services of a private lawyer.

Cost

There are no costs associated with this service.

To assist us in helping as many people as possible, we ask clients to make voluntary contributions depending on the service received.​

Eligibility

​Any person living in the region bounded by Walpole, Kojonup, Wagin, Lake King, Hopetoun and Albany can book for an initial appointment.

Ongoing assistance will only be available to disadvantaged and at risk members of our community.

Services
  • Preliminary legal advice on general matters of law.
  • Support of ongoing Family Law matters, at the discretion of the lawyer, and subject to capacity of service.
  • Advice and advocacy for tenants throughout the region.
  • Home and hospice visits are available if required.
  • Individual Disability Advocacy Service in the Great Southern region.
  • Community Education on and around legal and advocacy issues.
Hours 

​9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Please note office hours may be subject to change. 

Appointments are available in person, by telephone, and at outreach locations in Mt Barker and Katanning.
