Chelsea brings to the role a passion for social justice and a decade’s experience in peak bodies leading sector development, member representation and advocacy, focused on a strong and sustainable community sector and policy reform. Through her background in front line service delivery across youth work, disability and family and domestic violence, and working closely with members to understand their needs and concerns, Chelsea has successfully ensured systems issues like commissioning and social policy are grounded in the realities of service provision. Chelsea believes in the power of working together to address systemic problems, so that we can all access the resources and services essential to enable our basic needs and human rights to be met. Capacity Building Coordinator Eleanor Yates Expand Eleanor Yates The National Accreditation Scheme (NAS) is a sector-led initiative designed to recognise, encourage and actively support good practice in the delivery of community legal centres and the operations of community organisations, utilising a streamlined and web-based accreditation and certification process for CLCs. The Capacity Building Coordinator works with the sector to lead and coordinate all aspects of the National Accreditation Scheme in Western Australia. Manager Sarah Jarman Expand Sarah Jarman Community Legal WA (CLWA) successfully received grant funding from the COVID-19 relief fund from the Department of Communities to deliver the Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Legal Health Check (LHC) and Referral Pathways Project. The Manager, FDV LHC Project, is working in collaboration with 15 Community Legal Centres (CLCs), state-wide to lead and coordinate this project. Strategies undertaken to deliver this project include facilitating workshops to service providers, ensuring strong referral pathways and supporting service delivery. Data and Impact Advisor Joshua David Marks Expand Joshua David Marks Joshua cut his teeth fresh out of university volunteering and working in the CLC sector as a tenant advocate and executive assistant. During this time, he was admitted as a legal practitioner, and developed an interest and skillset in service delivery data, case management systems, and strategic planning. He now brings his learnings to CLWA to raise the profile and capacity of the sector in an ever more data focussed landscape. Additionally, Joshua volunteers as the convener of the Community Legal Education Workers' network. Joshua works Monday and Tuesday.
